Copyright and takedowns

How to ask Murl to remove content you own, what happens when you do, and what creators may import.

01What Murl hosts

Creators build apps on Murl. When a creator asks the builder to copy a website's look, Murl fetches that site's images, fonts and video into the creator's app and serves them from the app's own address under murl.ing. The copy is made at the creator's request, as a draft; the creator is responsible for the rights to what they publish, as for anything they upload.

02Reporting content you own

If Murl is hosting your content without permission, email copyright@murl.ai with: the Murl address where it appears (a murl.ing link, or a file's /__murl/files/ address); the address of your original; your name and how to reach you; and a statement that you own the content, or act for its owner, and that its use on Murl is not authorised.

On a complete notice we remove the files from every app that imported them from your domain, block the domain from future imports, and tell the creator what was removed and why. We review every complete notice promptly; incomplete notices are answered with what is missing.

03If your files were removed

A creator whose files were removed can write to copyright@murl.ai with the app's address and the reason the removal was wrong — a licence, the owner's permission, or that the site is their own. Where the claim holds, the block on the domain is lifted and the creator may import the content again; removed copies are not kept, so the import runs afresh.

04For creators

"Use the same images for now" is a drafting shortcut, not a licence. Before you publish, replace imported images, fonts and video with media you own, generated, or are licensed to use. The app's Assets pane lists what was imported and where it came from.
